One of the advantages of seated acupressure bodywork is that it is performed through the receiver's clothes. This removes the concern some people have about undressing in front of a stranger. It is a system of Oriental massage that is a similar way to acupuncture, focuses on the balance and flow of Qi around the body through a complex system of channels or meridians. The routine covers the back, neck, shoulders, head, arms and hands of the client. The sequence promotes a sense of wellbeing because the muscles are relaxed, blood circulation is increased and nerves responses are stimulated: and through the meridian system and acupressure points: the organs of the body are tonified.
